The Pure Heroine era began when Lorde was signed to a record label and began to record and write her songs. It lasted about four years and is still going. Hannah Petriv (her best friend) claimed that Ella is hard at work on her next album, shes even considering naming it "Hannah and Me" after her favorite movie, "Marley and Me."

  • United Music Group releases The Love Club (EP) for commericial sales on March 8th.
  • On June 3rd, Lorde releases Royals as the first and only single from The Love Club and the first single from Pure Heroine.
  • On June 7th, Lorde releases Tennis Court as the second single from Pure Heroine.
  • Royals peaks at number one on the Billboard US Chart in August, earning the singer her first number one hit.
  • On September 13th, Lorde releases Team as the third single from Pure Heroine.
  • Pure Heroine is released on November 12th.
